A very successful ‘diolachán cístí’ and coffee morning took place on Friday last and over €4,600 was raised for the school which is an incredible achievement. A special thank you to Marion Fenton, Maud Mainfray, Rita Taaffe, Caitriona McDonagh, Emma Dyball and Paula Durham for organising this event. Míle buíochas also to Mrs. Murphy for organising the gaeilge resources for the children and ‘díolachán’ participation by the 5th and 6th class students, to Starbucks for donating and serving the coffee and to all the parents who baked and volunteered on the day.
The Parents’ Association A.G.M takes place on Tuesday, October 24th @ 8pm in the school hall. I encourage as many of you as possible to attend and show your appreciation to the members of the P.A. who have worked exceptionally hard over the past year on your behalf.
At present in Carysfort we are celebrating cultural heritage through the Arts. Each class will participate in a drama workshop with drama teacher Ciara Phelan and complete an art project with art teacher Michael Cleary. All the art projects will be displayed in the school hall, so please drop in and admire in a few weeks!
