Community News: Blackrock Library Events – May

There is always a good reason to visit the library, but in case you needed any more there is lots going on this month. All events are free. Where booking is required email, or ph 2888117

May – for children:
Yoga storytime (age 3-8) at 3.30pm every Wednesday (book early on the Weds that you would like to attend as this is very popular)
Storytime with Granny Sue (age 5-8) every Thursday at 3pm during term-time (no need to book)
Playgroup for pre-schoolers & parents / minders @ 11.30am every Weds (no need to book)
For parents and grandparents:
Chair yoga @ 3.30pm on Weds 12th May, suitable for all levels of ability – booking required
A talk on entitlements and services for older people given by Age Action on Thurs 19 May @ 330pm (no need to book)
Mary Burnham of Dubray Books will be giving a talk for adults on book-club development & reading recommendations on Thurs 19th May @ 630pm (no need to book)

The library is hoping to run a junior book club for kids aged 10-12, from Sept/Oct and taking expressions of interest now. This will be a monthly meeting (free of charge), and our Garda-vetted facilitator has a Masters in Childrens Lit and is passionate about reading & enthusing others about reading.
